Hi I’m Sanchia and have been with New Directions since 2004 and became the Home Manager of Bishops Corner in 2006.

I trained as a nurse in the early 1990’s and then moved to London.

After travailing extensively and having worked across the care sector for many years I moved back to the South East, where a chance encounter with New Directions introduced me to Prader Willi Syndrome. I was immediately touched by this initial encounter, and the compassion and a level of commitment displayed by all at New Directions and could barely start to understand the complexities of the syndrome. The staff weren’t just caring for them but changing their lives. I immediately decided that I wanted to become a part of what New Directions were doing.

Since Joining New Directions in July 2004 I have gained my NVQ III and IV in care as well as My Registered Managers Award and many other relevant qualifications. I work closely with my team as well as local agencies, and I am always seeking to improve enrich and enhance the lives of our service users, and look forward to doing so for many years to come.
