OUR WAY OF LIFE CONFERENCE

The Our Way of Life conference (for those aged 16 and above) is only a week away now.  We have Steven, Ian and Lizzy going this year supported by David and Sherrie.  It promises to be a fun weekend and it is known that 29 people with PWS together with their supports are attending.

If you are going, it will be nice to meet up with you for a chat. Last year was a huge success.

We promise that there will be a report after the event (and maybe some pictures of David line dancing!!!)

Bishops Way!

Simon and Grant went to the Classic Car & Bus Show last weekend and enjoyed seeing some old bangers (I think they must have been missing Sue, as it was the weekend!)…..

Congratulations to Adam and Rhianne on the birth of their new daughter Nevaeh on 25th April.  Further congratulations to Adam & Simon J on successfully completing their NVQ Level 2 qualifications.

Simon had a fabulous one-to-one, he had lunch out, visited the Hastings Museum and went to see Thor at the cinema.

CONGRATULATIONS NICKY

We are pleased to let everyone know that Nicky has had her baby, a boy called Thomas.  Born Saturday 7th May at 2.30pm and weighing in at 10 pounds 15 ounces!  When we first got the news, we had to ask for confirmation of the weight, but yes, it is right.  Mother and Baby are doing well.

The winner of the competition for guess the weight of the baby is Mike Ferrznolo who works at Bishops Corner, he had guessed at 10 pounds 4 ounces and the next one up was a guess at 12 pounds 10 ounces.  We can only guess that Nicky is pleased that Thomas didn’t make that weight!

One again, congratulations to Nicky and George on the birth of their son.

BISHOPS LODGE

Everyone has been really busy decorating the windows in the day services to denote Spring and Easter.  This was a competition and Gayle came to the home Friday 6th May and did the judging.  The winner is the one below and this was done by Lizzie Amey – well done Lizzy.

It is fair to say that it was a difficult decision as to which of the windows should be deemed the winner, and Gayle wanted to make sure that all the people living at Bishops Lodge were also praised for their efforts.  Below are a selection of the other windows.

Also, Bishops Lodge have been really busy with their project in the garden.  A new green house has been purchased and a huge number of plants, both outdoor and indoor are being cultivated for use in the home and garden and also for sale at boot fairs and the like, the proceeds of which are used for  buying new equipment for this project and also for day service trips.  Keep a watch out for dates and venues of sales.  Picture below of the greenhouse.
