STOP PRESS - instant news from the PWSA

For any of you who have not seen the instant news from the PWSA, please see below:-

Due to a clash of dates with the Duxford Air Show in 2013, which will effectively fill up all the hotels in the Cambridge area, we have changed the date of the International Conference to 18th - 21st July 2013 (i.e. a week later than originally planned). The venue remains the same at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.

Medal of Excellence

Today, Friday 11th February, David Palmer, Gayle and Nicky (from the office) attended Sussex Coast College Hastings for the Apprenticeship Awards. This event was well attended by employers from many different sectors. The local MP, Amber Rudd, was in attendance and following a takl from the principal and then Amber the awards were announced and presented. These were the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ and ‘Advanced Apprentice of the Year’ for 2011 for runner up and overall winner, achievments certicifates to 5 employers who had worked closesly with the college and apprentices. An outstanding achievement awad was presented to a gentlemen in the construction industry and at the end we are delighetd to say that a City & Guilds Medal of Excellence was awarded to our own Nicky. There is an award ceremony for the winners of this particular medal from all over the country in London during May but it was lovely to have this announced at a local level.
